Description
What does "open box" mean?
Open-box products are returned products with opened or damaged packaging, but fully checked from a technical point of view and completely functional. They come with the same warranty as new products.
The Shelly Qubino Wave PM Mini is a Z-Wave module dedicated exclusively to energy metering, with no load switching function, designed for monitoring consumption on two separate circuits of the electrical installation. It is useful when you only want to track energy consumption without automatically cutting power to the connected appliances.
The two power inputs and two outputs with power metering allow independent monitoring of two circuits, with data sent to the Z-Wave gateway for analysis and alerts. Overcurrent protection automatically switches off the circuit if the value exceeds the safety threshold for more than 5 seconds, and overheating protection sends notifications to the gateway.
Note: The Shelly Qubino Wave PM Mini uses Z-Wave technology and requires a compatible Z-Wave hub or controller to be integrated and configured.
Practical use cases
- Installed on the circuit of a large kitchen appliance (oven, washing machine), it measures actual consumption without interrupting the power supply, giving accurate data for the electricity bill.
- Useful for identifying “vampire” appliances that consume energy in standby, helping to reduce the monthly bill without changing usage habits.
- Installed next to the electrical panel, in the Gen3 version with DIN rail mounting, it integrates discreetly into the existing installation, with no visible cables.
- Perfect for monitoring a dedicated circuit (air conditioning, electric water heater), separately from the rest of the household consumption, for more precise financial control.
