What does "open box" mean?

Open-box products are returned products with opened or damaged packaging, but fully checked from a technical point of view and completely functional. They come with the same warranty as new products.

Shelly BLU H&T Mocha is a compact and discreet Bluetooth temperature and humidity sensor, powered by a CR2032 battery with a battery life of up to 3 years. It constantly measures ambient temperature and relative humidity, offering up to one year of free data history, useful for tracking how the climate in a room changes over time.

It is suitable for monitoring the bedroom, a child's room, the cellar, the garage or a greenhouse, wherever temperature and humidity need to be kept under control. Thanks to its IP54 rating, it resists dust and splashes, which also makes it suitable for bathrooms, kitchens or covered outdoor spaces.

The data collected can be used in automations, for example to switch on a dehumidifier when the humidity in the cellar exceeds a certain threshold, or to alert the user when the temperature in a room with sensitive equipment rises above the normal limit.

Note: Shelly BLU H&T communicates via Bluetooth and requires a Shelly device with gateway function (for example Shelly BLU Gateway or another Shelly WiFi device with BLU support) to be integrated into the Shelly Smart Control app and into automations.

Practical use cases

• Placed in the bedroom or the child's room, it monitors temperature and humidity and sends a notification to your phone when the values go outside the desired range.
• Installed in the basement, it can automatically start a dehumidifier connected to a Shelly relay or plug when the humidity exceeds the set threshold.
• Placed on a covered terrace or balcony, thanks to its IP54 protection, it measures outdoor temperature and humidity and keeps them in a history of up to one year.
• Requires a Shelly BLU Gateway or another Shelly Gen3/Gen4 device nearby (with Bluetooth enabled) to transmit data to the app and the internet.
