Shelly Outdoor Plug S Gen3 is the first Shelly smart plug designed specifically for outdoor use, with IP44 protection against splashing water from any direction. It connects directly to the Wi-Fi network and is Matter certified, working without any additional hub.
The device supports loads of up to 12 A (2500 W), measures power consumption in the Shelly Smart Control app and has a multicolour LED indicator that can also be used as a night light with adjustable colour and brightness. The plastic housing with a silicone socket cover provides good resistance to outdoor conditions, in the range -25°C to +51°C.
Shelly Outdoor Plug S Gen3 offers schedules, scenes, local actions and scripting, and also works as a Wi-Fi range extender and Bluetooth gateway for other Shelly BLU accessories. It has built-in protection against overheating, overvoltage, overcurrent and overload.
In practice, it is suitable for automating garden lights, an electric grill or seasonal light decorations, with automatic scheduling at sunset and automatic switch-off after a set period, as well as for powering a remotely controlled pond pump or outdoor heater.
