What does "open box" mean?

Open-box products are returned products with opened or damaged packaging, but fully checked from a technical point of view and completely functional. They come with the same warranty as new products.

This pack contains 4 units of the Shelly 2PM Gen4, a smart relay with two independent channels and power monitoring on each channel, capable of handling loads of up to 16A total (10A per channel). Each unit in the pack works independently and can be configured separately, making it suitable for projects with several dual circuits to automate.

The device has multi-protocol connectivity: WiFi, Zigbee 3.0, Bluetooth BLE 5.0 and native Matter support, also acting as a Zigbee router in mesh networks and as a Bluetooth gateway for nearby Shelly BLU devices. It also supports cover mode, useful for automating roller shutters, blinds or electric gates.

Its small size (37 x 42 x 16mm) allows it to be mounted behind sockets, switches or in standard wall boxes, and buying it in a pack of 4 reduces the cost per unit for projects with several identical circuits, such as complete flats or offices with numerous control zones.

Note: installation must be carried out by qualified personnel, as the devices work with mains voltage (110-240VAC); each unit in the pack must be configured separately in the app after installation.

Practical use cases

• Mounted behind a conventional wall switch, it turns a room's lighting into a circuit controlled from the app, by voice command or automatically, without replacing the existing switch.
• Installed on the circuit of a recirculation pump or an electric water heater, it allows remote switching on/off and scheduling of operating hours to save energy.
• Integrated into a home automation system, it can automatically switch off sockets or lighting when the whole family leaves home, based on geolocation from the app.
• Used in an electrical panel to control outdoor lighting, it can be scheduled to switch on automatically at sunset and switch off in the morning.
