What does "open box" mean?

Open-box products are returned products with opened or damaged packaging, but fully checked from a technical point of view and completely functional. They come with the same warranty as new products.

Aqara Presence Sensor FP2 uses advanced millimetre-wave radar technology, able to accurately detect human presence even during very subtle movements. This technology ensures stable, accurate and continuous operation of the device. The sensor supports zone positioning, making it possible to automate different conditions in areas such as the bed, the desk or the sofa. It can divide a room into up to 30 zones and can detect up to 5 people simultaneously. It can also control other smart devices through ecosystems such as Apple Home, offering a wide range of functions. It also includes features such as fall detection and a built-in light sensor, making it an ideal aid for personalised and efficient home automation.

Key features:

Zone Positioning
The sensor can cover an area of up to 40 m² and can be divided into up to 30 virtual zones. Each zone can have its own automations (e.g. bed, desk, sofa), the equivalent of using several traditional PIR sensors with a single FP2 device.

Multi-person detection
It can detect up to 5 people simultaneously, reacting differently depending on each person's position – without interference between users.

High accuracy and respect for privacy
It detects presence without capturing real images. Radar technology provides much more stable detection than PIR sensors, even when the person is sitting still or sleeping.

Integration into smart ecosystems (HomeKit, Alexa, Google Home, etc.)
FP2 appears as multiple sensors in apps such as HomeKit, Home Assistant, Alexa or Google. It does not require a hub for integration, making it perfect for smart home enthusiasts.

The sensor can detect a fall within a 2 metre radius with an accuracy of over 98%, sending quick notifications – without cameras or wristbands. It must be mounted on the ceiling only.
