What does "open box" mean?

Open-box products are returned products with opened or damaged packaging, but fully checked from a technical point of view and completely functional. They come with the same warranty as new products.

The Shelly BLU Motion ZB is a smart motion and light sensor with dual Zigbee 3.0 and Bluetooth 5 LE connectivity, designed for anyone who wants fast automations based on presence and the brightness level in a room. As a device from the BLU family, it stands out for its small size and very low power consumption.

The sensor detects both motion and ambient brightness via a lux sensor with three configurable levels (dark, twilight, bright), enabling precise rules such as switching on the light only when it is really needed. Motion sensitivity is adjustable, and mounting is tool-free, with the double-sided adhesive tape included. Power is provided by a CR2477 battery with a battery life of up to 5 years.

It is useful in hallways, bathrooms, walk-in wardrobes or utility rooms, where the light can switch on automatically when someone enters and switch off after a period without motion, reducing energy consumption. It can also be used for presence alerts in areas that should not normally be accessed, such as garages or storerooms.

Note: integration via Zigbee requires a compatible Zigbee 3.0 hub or coordinator (for example a Shelly Gen3/Gen4 device with Zigbee or a Home Assistant coordinator). Operation via Bluetooth with the BTHome protocol requires a Shelly BLU gateway or another Shelly device with Bluetooth to collect the data.

• Using the three brightness levels (dark, dusk, bright), it switches on the light only when it is really needed.
