What does "open box" mean?

Open-box products are returned products with opened or damaged packaging, but fully checked from a technical point of view and completely functional. They come with the same warranty as new products.

The Shelly Button Add-On White is an accessory that turns any Shelly Plus, Mini, Gen3 or Gen4 relay into a surface-mounted switch, with no need for installation in a flush wall box. The housing integrates a physical button connected directly to the relay's control input, so manual control works instantly, regardless of the state of the Wi-Fi network.

The solution is especially useful when a Shelly relay is going to power an appliance that does not have its own wall switch, such as a table lamp, a ceiling fan, an electric convector or a small water heater. The relay is mounted inside the Button Add-On housing, which is placed surface-mounted or stand-alone, and the button becomes the visible physical control point, next to the controlled appliance.

The push-in terminals accept conductors with a cross-section from 0.2 to 1.5 square mm, and the connection to the relay is made via the pre-installed 35 mm cables, with no additional wiring. The compact housing, measuring 63x84x28 mm, visually matches most traditional switches.

Note: The Button Add-On is a passive accessory and requires a compatible Shelly relay already installed (Gen1, Gen2, Gen3 or Gen4, depending on the model) to work; it has no communication module of its own and cannot be used independently.
