What does "open box" mean?

Open-box products are returned products with opened or damaged packaging, but fully checked from a technical point of view and completely functional. They come with the same warranty as new products.

Shelly EM Gen3 is a compact smart energy meter that uses up to two current transformers for measurement without direct contact, designed for monitoring the energy consumption of electrical appliances or the whole home. This model comes with a 50A current clamp included, sufficient for most residential circuits.

The device tracks total energy consumption, voltage, current and power factor, giving a detailed picture of how electricity is used in the home. Data is also stored locally on the device for later access and analysis, even in the event of a temporary loss of internet connection.

In addition to the metering function, Shelly EM Gen3 has a dry contact that can control an external load, for example automatically switching off a consumer when a certain power threshold is exceeded. Its compact dimensions allow installation in a wall box or next to electrical appliances, in spaces with limited access.
