What does "open box" mean?

Open-box products are returned products with opened or damaged packaging, but fully checked from a technical point of view and completely functional. They come with the same warranty as new products.

The Shelly EM Mini Gen4 is an ultra-compact single-phase energy monitor, developed for professional integrators and advanced energy management applications. Measuring just 29 x 34 x 16mm, it can be installed behind almost any socket or wall box, reliably monitoring consumption of up to 16A at 240VAC (3840W).

The device combines the latest multi-protocol support: WiFi 6, Zigbee 3.0, Bluetooth and Matter, offering maximum integration flexibility across various smart home ecosystems, along with the full flexibility of the Gen4 firmware. Unlike a relay, this device offers no switching function, being exclusively a high-precision energy meter.

Real-time energy, voltage and current measurements are accessible locally via the built-in web interface, as well as remotely via Shelly Cloud or third-party integrations. Consumption data is stored locally and automatically synchronised with the cloud when a connection is available, avoiding data loss in the event of a network outage.

Please note: installation must be carried out by qualified personnel, in the electrical panel or behind the monitored socket, following the wiring diagram in the product manual.

• Used to monitor a dedicated circuit (air conditioning, heat pump, electric car charger), it lets you track the monthly costs of each individual load.

• Sends alerts in the app in case of abnormal consumption, helping to quickly detect faulty equipment.
