What does "open box" mean?

Open-box products are returned products with opened or damaged packaging, but fully checked from a technical point of view and completely functional. They come with the same warranty as new products.

Shelly Neo Smart Water Valve is a 1 inch (25 mm) smart valve with built-in water consumption monitoring, designed to replace conventional valves on the home's main water supply pipe. The motorised control lets you shut off or fully open the water remotely via the Shelly Smart Control app, and also schedule automatic safety rules.

Flow is measured ultrasonically, with no direct contact with the water and no moving parts in the flow path, which reduces wear and maintains accuracy over time. The built-in sensors simultaneously read water flow, temperature and pressure, and this data allows automatic detection of leaks or unusual consumption, with the valve closing automatically when a user-defined threshold is exceeded.

It is suitable for installation at the entry point to the home, next to the water meter, in flats, houses or small commercial premises, providing protection against flooding caused by burst pipes, taps left open or faulty appliances such as the washing machine or water heater.

Note: installation on the water pipe involves work on the plumbing, and installation by a licensed plumber is recommended; the valve requires an external 5V power supply via USB-A and a Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connection for remote control.
