What does "open box" mean?

Open-box products are returned products with opened or damaged packaging, but fully checked from a technical point of view and completely functional. They come with the same warranty as new products.

Shelly Qubino Wave Shutter is a Z-Wave controller for roller shutters, blinds and shutters, with built-in power metering. It automates the position of any equipment driven by a bidirectional AC motor, from classic roller shutters to awnings and pool covers.

It supports up to 10 A per channel and allows precise control of the slat angle for Venetian blinds, along with control via momentary buttons or traditional switches. Built on the Z-Wave 800 chipset, the device also works as a signal repeater, extending Z-Wave network coverage by up to 40 metres.

It is suitable for automating roller shutters and blinds in houses and flats already equipped with a Z-Wave hub, for controlling awnings and pool covers, or for integration into an existing Z-Wave ecosystem where you want to add consumption metering on the drive circuit.

Practical use cases

• It integrates into an existing Z-Wave network (Z-Wave hub, Home Assistant with a Z-Wave stick, or another compatible controller), extending home automation without adding a new ecosystem.
• Mounted in the wall box behind the switch, it controls the bidirectional motor of a roller shutter or venetian blind, including the slat angle, directly from the Z-Wave hub.
• Each Wave device also works as a repeater in the Z-Wave mesh network, helping to extend the signal to other, more distant nodes.
• Note: Requires a compatible Z-Wave hub/controller (e.g. Home Assistant with a Z-Wave adapter) to be connected to the network and controlled from the app.
