What does "open box" mean?

Open-box products are returned products with opened or damaged packaging, but fully checked from a technical point of view and completely functional. They come with the same warranty as new products.

Shelly 1PM Mini Gen4 is a compact smart relay with power measurement, suitable for controlling lights and electrical appliances of up to 8 A. The device offers multi-protocol connectivity - Wi-Fi, Zigbee and Bluetooth - and is Matter certified, letting you choose the right protocol for each installation.

Compared with the previous generation, Shelly 1PM Mini Gen4 comes with an improved processor and additional Zigbee connectivity, while keeping the same small dimensions that allow it to be mounted in wall boxes, behind sockets or even inside household appliances. It measures the power consumed in real time and stores the data in the cloud free of charge for consumption analysis.

The device supports schedules, scenes and local actions, plus scripting, HTTPS, MQTTS and inbound and outbound WebSockets. It has built-in protection against overheating, overvoltage, overcurrent and overload, and its discreet mounting makes it suitable for retrofitting existing sockets and switches.

In practice, Shelly 1PM Mini Gen4 is suitable for turning a small water heater, an electric radiator or a kitchen socket into a smart point with consumption monitoring, or for controlling an irrigation pump from a moisture-proof box, tracking exactly how many kWh it has consumed in the last month.

Note: no additional hub is needed to operate via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth (used only for inclusion and as a gateway) or Matter. If you choose Zigbee connectivity, however, a compatible Zigbee hub or coordinator is required (for example a Home Assistant integration), according to Shelly's official specifications for Gen4 devices.
