What does "open box" mean?

Open-box products are returned products with opened or damaged packaging, but fully checked from a technical point of view and completely functional. They come with the same warranty as new products.

Shelly BLU Door/Window Black is a small Bluetooth sensor designed to monitor the state of doors and windows. It instantly detects opening or closing, measures the tilt angle for tilt-and-turn windows and also includes a light sensor for additional automations.

It runs on an included CR2032 battery, with a battery life of up to 5 years, which removes the worry of frequent battery changes. Installation is quick with the included adhesive tape, with no wiring, on wooden or PVC doors and windows as well as on metal frames.

It is useful for alarms and notifications when a door or window is opened without authorisation, for automations such as switching off heating or air conditioning when a window is left open, or for ventilation scenarios that trigger actions when the window is closed again.

Note: Shelly BLU Door/Window communicates exclusively via Bluetooth and requires a Shelly BLU gateway (for example Shelly BLU Gateway) or another Shelly Plus, Pro, Gen3 or Gen4 device that can act as a BLE bridge to the WiFi network, in order to be integrated into the Shelly Smart Control app.
