What does "open box" mean?

Open-box products are returned products with opened or damaged packaging, but fully checked from a technical point of view and completely functional. They come with the same warranty as new products.

The Shelly BLU Door/Window Brown is the compact Bluetooth sensor for monitoring doors and windows, in a brown finish that matches dark wooden frames. It instantly detects opening or closing, measures the tilt angle for tilt-and-turn windows and includes a light sensor for additional automations.

It runs on an included CR2032 battery, with a battery life of up to 5 years, and is mounted quickly with the included adhesive tape, without wiring. The brown colour makes it almost invisible on solid wood frames or dark-toned joinery, while keeping all the functions of the sensors in the BLU family.

It is useful for alarms and notifications when a door or window is opened without authorisation, for automations such as switching off heating or air conditioning when a window is left open, or for ventilation scenes that trigger actions when the window is closed again.

Note: Shelly BLU Door/Window communicates exclusively via Bluetooth and requires a Shelly BLU gateway (for example Shelly BLU Gateway) or another Shelly Plus, Pro, Gen3 or Gen4 device that can act as a BLE bridge to the WiFi network, in order to be integrated into the Shelly Smart Control app.
