Description

Shelly 1-Channel Decoupler 230V – AC–DC signal converter for smart automations

Shelly 1-Channel Decoupler 230V is a compact module that converts a 230 V AC signal from a classic switch into a DC control signal for smart devices.
With this converter, you can use existing infrastructure with AC switches to control modules that require a DC signal, providing isolation between circuits and extra safety in installations.
Compatible with modules in the Shelly ecosystem (such as Shelly Plus RGBW PM, Shelly Plus Uni or Shelly Plus Add-On), this decoupler is ideal for upgrading smart home systems and integrating equipment into complex automations.
Main functions
AC–DC signal conversion: converts the 230 V AC input signal into a DC control signal.
Electrical isolation: separates the high-voltage circuit from the control circuit, protecting smart equipment.
Extended compatibility: works with multiple Shelly modules.
Very low self-consumption (<0.6 W).
Ultra-compact design, easy to mount even in tight spaces.

Practical use cases

  • Allows a classic wall switch to be used alongside a smart bulb, without the bulb being disconnected from the WiFi network when the power is physically cut.
  • Useful when you want to keep an existing switch but also control the bulb from the app or by voice, without the risk of it dropping off the network after an accidental switch-off.
  • Available in 1- or 4-channel versions, for installations with one or more independently controlled lighting points.
  • Recommended especially when installing smart bulbs in homes with traditional switches and no neutral wire available.
