Shelly BLU Button TOUGH 1 Mocha, Bluetooth

The Shelly BLU Button Tough 1 Mocha is a Bluetooth smart button resistant to shock, dust and water, designed for demanding places such as the kitchen, garage, terrace or workshop. It has a compact, rugged design in a mocha shade and is powered by a replaceable CR2032 battery, with a battery life of up to 2 years depending on how often it is used.

The button recognises single, double, triple and long presses, allowing several scenarios to be controlled from a single device: one press switches on the light, a double press starts an evening scenario, and a long press can switch off all the lights in the house. Its response time of under one second also makes it suitable for automations that need a fast reaction.

It also has a beacon mode, in which it sends periodic signals useful for presence detection, and an IP54 rating that allows it to operate in damp or dusty environments, such as the garage or covered outdoor areas.

Note: The Shelly BLU Button Tough 1 communicates via Bluetooth and requires a Shelly device with a gateway function (for example the Shelly BLU Gateway or another Shelly WiFi device with BLU support) to be integrated into the Shelly Smart Control app and into automations.

Practical use cases

• A single press switches the light on, a double press starts an evening scene, and a long press switches off all the lights in the house, all from a single button.
• Mounted in a garage, workshop or on a covered terrace, where the IP54 rating protects it from dust and moisture, it controls the lighting or other Shelly devices in the area.
• In beacon mode it emits periodic signals, useful for presence detection and for triggering automations when you come within Bluetooth range of Shelly devices.
• Requires a Shelly BLU Gateway or another Shelly Gen3/Gen4 device nearby (with Bluetooth enabled) to transmit data to the app and the internet.
