Description
Shelly Duo Bulb E27 Gen3 is a dimmable smart LED bulb with an E27 base and adjustable colour temperature between 2700 K and 6500 K. It installs exactly like an ordinary bulb and can still be used from the existing wall switch, but it can also be connected to the local Wi-Fi network, where it works standalone or can be controlled remotely from the Shelly Smart Control app.
Built on the Gen3 platform, the bulb offers two advanced features in addition to standard control: "Wi-Fi range extender", which retransmits the Wi-Fi signal and lets other Shelly devices connect to it, and "BLE Gateway", which bridges Bluetooth Low Energy devices and Wi-Fi devices. The built-in web interface allows direct monitoring and configuration of the bulb.
Key features
- Tunable white light 2700 K - 6500 K, with a luminous flux of up to 806 lm and CRI above 80
- Smooth dimming, with configurable transition time between brightness levels
- Night mode with its own brightness and colour temperature (default 50% and 4600 K)
- Control via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, no additional hub required
- Can be controlled directly from a Shelly BLU Remote Control, BLU Wall Switch 4 or BLU Button Tough 1
- Wi-Fi range extender and BLE Gateway functions
- Simple and advanced schedules, auto on/off timers, local actions, webhooks and scripting
- Power metering and activity log
- Integration with Amazon Alexa, Google Home, SmartThings and Home Assistant
Practical use cases
- Bedroom with gradual wake-up. Schedule the bulb to turn on in the morning at 5% brightness and 2700 K and gradually rise to 6500 K over 20 minutes, for a wake-up that follows your circadian rhythm, without an alarm clock.
- Home office also used in the evening. A schedule synced to sunset automatically switches from cool working light (6500 K) to a warm 2700 K light after 19:00, reducing eye strain at the end of the day.
- Rented apartment, no changes to the wiring. The bulb screws into the existing fixture and is controlled from a Shelly BLU Wall Switch 4 stuck on the wall, giving you smart control without modifying the electrical wiring or breaking into the wall.
- Vacation home left unattended. Advanced schedules turn the light on and off at varying times throughout your absence, simulating presence, while the BLE Gateway function also brings the Shelly BLU sensors in the room onto the network.
