Shelly 1 Mini Gen3 is the smallest Wi-Fi smart relay in the Shelly range, with dry (potential-free) contacts for controlling lights, garage doors, irrigation systems and small electrical appliances. It connects directly to the Wi-Fi network and is added quickly via Bluetooth, with no need for any hub.

Thanks to its small size, the device fits in standard wall boxes, behind sockets and switches, and even directly inside the housing of some electrical appliances. The dry contacts allow switching of circuits with voltages different from its own supply, making it suitable both for 240V AC loads (up to 8A) and for 30V DC circuits (up to 5A).

Shelly 1 Mini Gen3 supports schedules, scenes, local actions and advanced scripting via mJS, plus HTTPS, MQTTS, WebSockets and KNXnet/IP support. The internal temperature sensor provides overheating protection, and the device can also act as a Wi-Fi range extender and a Bluetooth gateway for Shelly BLU accessories.

In practice, Shelly 1 Mini Gen3 is often used to automate a garage door, mounted right next to the motor, to control an irrigation system based on the weather forecast, or to turn a lamp or a coffee machine into a smart appliance, with no extra external wiring.
