Description
Aqara Dual Relay Module T2 – Dual relay module for smart automations
Note: This product uses the Zigbee protocol and requires a compatible Zigbee hub/bridge (e.g. Aqara Hub / Aqara Hub E1 / Aqara Hub M2 / Aqara Hub M3) to connect to the network and be controlled from the app. It does not work independently over WiFi.
The Aqara Dual Relay Module T2 is a device that uses Zigbee technology to control the electrical power supply (on/off). It can control a variety of equipment, including motors, garage doors, light fittings, switches and sockets, working in both dry contact and wet contact mode. This module adds intelligence to traditional equipment, integrating it seamlessly into smart ecosystems such as Apple Home and other compatible platforms.
Recommendation: the mounting wall box should be at least 60 mm deep for optimal installation.
Highlights:
A versatile solution for your home:
The T2 can be installed in ceiling lights, switches, sockets or used for automatic control of appliances such as coffee machines, air fresheners, electric heaters, roller blinds or garage doors.
Compatible with Apple Home and Matter over Bridge*
The T2 is compatible with Apple Home, Matter, Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can turn traditional devices into smart ones and easily integrate them into different smart ecosystems.
Motor control and interlock function:
You can safely control bidirectional motors, using the T2 as a central relay for motorised blinds, shutters and roller shades.
Energy monitoring and state memory:
The T2 remembers its last state (on/off) in the event of a power cut and provides energy consumption statistics.
Enhanced safety:
You can set maximum/minimum values for voltage, current and power. In case of abnormal behaviour, the power is cut off automatically to prevent accidents.
Wireless switch mode:
You can turn an existing switch into a scene trigger (e.g. arming the alarm system, operating curtains, controlling lights).**
Easy installation, DIN rail mountable:
The compact design and DIN rail mounting make it ideal for electrical panels or 86 mm or US-standard wall boxes.***
Warnings:
*Integration with HomeKit, Google, Alexa and Matter requires a compatible Zigbee hub.
-
We recommend that installation is carried out by a qualified electrician.
-
**Switches or sensors connected to S1/S2/COM must withstand the voltage supplied to the module.
-
***The maximum supported current is 10A.
Use cases:
1. Smart garage door control
Use the module in “dry contact” mode to control opening/closing of the garage door. You can include it in automations or expose it to third-party ecosystems.
2. Saving energy by controlling the boiler/water heater
Control the boiler or water heater via dry contact and schedule heating according to the temperature in the house, with the help of the Aqara Thermostat.
3. Mounting behind existing switches or sockets
Turn traditional switches into smart ones and get energy monitoring without changing the current look of your home.

Practical use cases
- Control two circuits independently (for example the chandelier and the ceiling fan) from a single module.
- Mount the module in the wall box to upgrade two lighting points without additional wiring.
- Set different schedules for each of the two connected circuits.
