Description
TP-Link ES228GP - Omada Easy Managed Switch with 28 Gigabit Ports and 24 PoE+
The TP-Link ES228GP is a large Omada Easy Managed switch with 28 Gigabit ports, 24 of which provide PoE+ power (802.3af/at). It is intended for large networks that need to power a high number of devices - surveillance cameras, Wi-Fi access points, IP phones - directly over the network cable, without separate power supplies.
Like the rest of the ES2x0GP family, the switch supports Extend mode for PoE transmission over up to 250 metres and includes features specific to surveillance networks, such as remote camera reboot, advanced QoS and port isolation for increased security between network segments.
Key features:
- 28 Gigabit ports, 24 with PoE+ (802.3af/at)
- Extend mode for PoE transmission over up to 250 metres
- Remote reboot of connected PoE cameras
- Advanced QoS and port isolation for surveillance networks
- Centralised management via the Omada cloud or the mobile app
- Automatic network loop prevention, VLAN and IGMP Snooping support
With 24 PoE+ ports, the ES228GP is the right switch for large-scale video surveillance installations or for office buildings with many PoE devices spread across a floor or several zones.
Practical use cases:
- Powering and connecting a large video surveillance system with up to 24 IP cameras
- Equipping an office building with Wi-Fi access points, IP phones and other PoE devices
- Centralising the network connections of an entire floor in a single communications rack
The TP-Link ES228GP is the higher-tier solution for large networks that need significant PoE+ capacity, managed centrally through the Omada platform.
