Temperature Probe DS18B20 – Precision Digital Sensor, 3.5 mm Jack Connector, 1 Metre Cable

The DS18B20 Temperature Probe is a precision digital sensor with a 3.5mm jack connector and a 1 metre cable, compatible with The Pill by Shelly and other Shelly modules that support digital temperature sensors. The sensor uses 1-Wire bus communication, which requires a single data line to send information to the central module.

The measuring range extends from -55 to +125 degrees Celsius, with an accuracy of +/-0.5 degrees in the -10 to +85 degrees Celsius range, wide enough for most household and technical applications: fridges, freezers, boilers, greenhouses or outdoor spaces. Measurement resolution is configurable between 9 and 12 bits, depending on the precision required.

The sensor housing is sealed and waterproof, made of stainless steel, allowing installation in damp environments or even partial immersion, such as monitoring the water temperature in a tank or the soil in a garden. Each DS18B20 sensor has a unique 64-bit serial code, allowing several sensors to be connected on the same bus without conflicts.

Please note: the sensor requires a compatible module such as The Pill by Shelly to read and transmit data; for monitoring several points at once, it can be used together with the 3.5mm Jack Splitter (1 to 5).

• Attaches to compatible Shelly devices to measure the temperature of a liquid or a surface (water heater, boiler, pipe), not just the ambient temperature.
